A green treasure in the state of Madhya Pradesh
The beautiful land of Madhya Pradesh has something within its territory that no place can offer— the Pench National Park. It lies in the districts of Seoni and Chhindwara. The Pench river flows through the park and cuts it equally into western and eastern halves. This is the river from where the park derives its name. In the surrounding areas of the park, one can find wildlife sanctuaries, forts, a river and a hill station with spectacular landscapes, waterfalls and panoramic points. One can also find the best hotels at Pench National Park to enjoy a comfortable stay while on a vacation here.

The Pench National Park is an ecosystem consisting several of nature’s wonders. One can come across plants of different shapes and sizes of various shades of green. There is a full bloom of greenery like teak, salai, amaltas, haldu, saja, aonla, lendia, bamboo, and bijiayasal that pique the interest of many botanists and tree lovers. A mesmerizing sight to gaze upon is the white Kulu trees stationed between emerald hues. The scenery depicts the wintry streak of the forest in the midst of the evergreen spring.

There are endless creatures that tread the forest floor and one of them happens to be the Royal Bengal Tiger. This sanctuary is their home and it helps in catalyzing their numbers. It is a joy when these jungle majesties clothed with amber and black stripes, are spotted while on a safari. To keep the Indian king of the jungle company are animals like the chital, jackal, sloth bear, sambar, four-horned antelope, jungle cat, nilgai, barking deer and other creatures of the wild.
Those who have a deep love for the forest’s feathered friends can have a rendezvous together in the quietness of the woods. According to the wildlife authorities, one can find here at least 210 species of birds including the migratory ones. Spend some time gazing at some winged beauties like the red-vented bulbul, crimson-breasted barbet, magpie robin, teal, oriole, myna, herons, egret, shoveller and other avian creatures of the sky.
The rich wildlife of the park is best experienced on a safari journey. There are certain months when it is the best time to go on a safari and that is from November to May. The Tigers are seen actively roaming around, particularly during the summer time of April and May. Witness them in all their glory. The safari guides and the drivers are well trained in responding to forest calls so as to head in the right direction to quickly catch sight of the many exotic beasts of the wild. Their keen sense of hearing, ability to mimic animal and bird sounds and the application of right judgment is something that is enjoyable and interesting to watch.
The Pench National Park is like a green gem in the border of Madhya Pradesh and what makes it even more precious are the many animals, birds, and plants living in this forest. Visit this ‘Garden of Eden’ and enjoy nature in all its glory. Anyone visiting here would not find it very inconvenient to stay as there are many restaurants, hotels, resorts and safari lodges in Pench National Park to make your trip all the more enjoyable.
